I haven't slept since Wednesday.
Small black figures emerge from my peripheral and tiny dots flash against my eyes like sprinkles made of lighting bolts.
I don't remember how many pills I took.
I finished my essay in record time and it looked superb.
Then I woke up and realized I had dreamt the entire thing in a momentary lapse of sleep. A five minute relief followed by ten minutes of disappointment.
I don't know if today happened.
I'm writing this to remind myself.
Maybe I'm dreaming now.
Today happened.
When I snap my fingers and count back from five, you'll wake up.
