These boys don't care about a girl who reads, or knows politics. They don't care about girls who find hole-in-the-wall record stores that sell jazz albums and ice tea in solo cups. Or girls who climb to the roof of their apartment in the middle of the night to watch the chaos of the streets unfold like a private theatre.

They don't give a shit that your apartment is so small you have to stuff your bras in a drawer in the kitchen cupboard. They don't want to know what you listen to, or even what you sound like.

They want the pixels on their screens to lift up and render a human as equally flat and one dimensional in real life. They want to know if they can pull your hair. And if they force feed you their fingers, will your lipstick stain their cuticles and bed sheets?
